EGG GALLERY 43 Doseong-gil, Yulchon-mein-Korea Dic 13 2025 – Jan 3 2026
curated by Sung Tae Park
Egg Gallery jan 3 2026 Today, the exhibition “NO WORDS” comes to a close.
This exhibition brought together 31 artists from four countries—Korea, Italy, Switzerland, and India.
Yet its international nature was not the result of movement or exchange,
but of a shared attitude of remaining.
Egg Gallery is not located at the center of the global art world.
Precisely for that reason,
works from different worlds were able to stop here
at an equal pace,
and exist together in a time prior to language and institutions.
This exhibition did not ask what an international exhibition shows,
but where an international exhibition can remain.
To remain is not to rush to understand or judge,
but to endure time together with presence—
and this is the point that contemporary art now calls for.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the artists
who chose to remain by not speaking,
and to share time without explanation.
This exhibition did not seek to assert or prove anything.
Rather, in this place erased by history, institutions, and language,
works from different worlds paused
at the same pace, here and now,
and we quietly stayed beside them.
Visitors, too, responded
with silence rather than questions,
with warmth rather than judgment.
That, in itself, was enough.
Egg Gallery will continue to pursue exhibitions
from this place that is not at the center—
choosing relationships over speed,
and presence over visible results.
With sincere gratitude to everyone who shared this time with us.

from the silence of darkness 2000, acrylics on canvas 19¾x15¾
A form is emerging from the silence of darkness, that of a blurred face whose eyes do not see yet and whose mouth does not speak. This work is part of the artistic research I developed around the years 1999-2000 based on the emergence, from darkness and silence, of indistinct images and forms.
